Shot on location at the iconic Rivoli Ballroom in South London, Clowns plays out a macabre comedy of murder and desire, asking how far will we go in the name of entertainment. While the performance combines bold, exhilarating and tribal movement with a percussive, cinematic score, the choreography of the camera alternately provides theatrical ensemble shots and close-up sequences that draw the audience members straight into the madness of the interaction between ten dancers on stage.
