“Sweetheart, walk properly”, Marall’s parents tell her when they take her along to a party. But what would it mean to behave “properly"? As the evening progresses, she finds the adults’ conduct increasingly strange. And is she really the only one who notices the strange shadow? 

A high-rise apartment building overlooking a city park presents a micro-portrait of Buenos Aires, from the wealthy family in the penthouse to the janitor who lives in the basement. A building is not supposed to move – but when it does, it moves its inhabitants too, connecting separate floors and different people in this magical realistic fable on class society.
