Dance on Screen – ways to conquer the pandemic
In the spring of 2020, choreographer Nicole Beutler was preparing a dance performance for Oerol Festival. When it became clear that this would not take place, she decided to recreate her ‘covid’ solos based on Schlemmer’s ring dance into a dance film. Still Life on the Island was shot on location at Terschelling and premiered during the digital edition of Oerol ’20. The premiere of Blasphemy Rhapsody by ICK Dance Amsterdam was postponed even three times due to Covid. ICK decided something 'radically', by asking filmmaker Arno Dierickx to make a cinematographic interpretation of the piece. During the professional meeting they will talk about their work and the choices they made for their adaptations. The audience is cordially invited to join the conversation.
The Professional Meetings are free to join. Please register yourself via hospitality@cinedans.nl You will receive a link and further details.
