Is the dance artist still the explorer of fantastic realities, or someone who primarily reflects on the 'real' world - and on ways of improving it? What does today's dance represent? Intrigued by this question, choreographer and curator Karin Post developed the project Hip Hop High- Romantic Moves, a program including video portraits of dance makers, interviews and documentary material. 

Schrit_tmacher Festival, Summer Dance Forever and Cinedans have joined forces with choreographer and independent curator Karin Post. In her projects, she links dance to other (art) disciplines and addresses relevant topics about art, artistry and society, and placing them in a cultural and historical context. In her salons, performances and installations, she works together with dancers, visual artists, composers, designers, filmmakers and philosophers. She seeks out broader connections and offers insight into complex themes, while also stimulating the discussion among the artists and with the general audience.

Our ongoing Installations & VR program is accessible to everyone and will be open 11am to 11pm, from Thursday 22 to Sunday 26 June.
