To anchor the Opera Ballet in today's world, four contemporary choreographers were invited to Palais Garnier, Opéra national de Paris, to create new work. The world-famous Belgians Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Damien Jalet created new work to music by Woodkid and Koki Nakano respectively. Tess Voelker, an American dancer and choreographer, created a piece to the rhythm of a song by Nick Drake, and Mehdi Kerkouche led the audience into his personal hip-hop universe.
