Today’s Surprise Short is an intense inwards reflection on an issue that a lot of dancers face: physical injuries.
In the midst of rehabilitation, choreographer and dancer Omari Carter confronts himself with his own inability to move in ways that he once did. Through talks with his cinematographer James Williams, he explores the frustrations, doubts and struggle an injured dancer endures to find his feet again.
